LegalWise Soweto Hope Academy was launched in October 2010. The Academy is run in Dobsonville in the heart of Soweto, South Africa's largest township. Soweto is based 16km outside of Johannesburg and is the home to approximately 1 million people.

The Soweto Academy is based at the Siziwile School for the Deaf in Dobsonville and oversees both U11 boys and U11 girls. The Academy is aimed at developing these children over many years, producing a generation of leaders on and off the football field that will in turn bring hope and transformation within Soweto in the future.

Football trials were completed in August 2010 and the final Academy squad was selected and the Academy is already making a huge impact on the lives of these young children, their families and the community.
